Mr. Benjamin Agyeman is a Private Equity/Venture Capital investment professional with over 25 years combined experience in investment banking, project finance and private capital investments.
He was a Managing Director at MPC Capital AG, a German based Global Equity Investment Manager of real assets, with over 4bn Euros in AUM. Ben targeted climate change transition opportunities with investments in wind and solar emerging market renewable energy opportunities from Mongolia to Jamaica, Latin America and Europe.
Prior to MPC, Ben was the former Head of Investments and Structured Finance at Ferrostaal Industrial/Topsoe Projects GmbH, where his investments were on developing valued added infrastructure, i.e., Gas to Fertilizer Production in East Africa, etc.
Previously, Ben has worked as a Venture Capital Investment Director at Gulf Finance House, focusing on raising and deploying capital across Technology, Industrial and SME sectors in the Middle East and Africa.
Ben was a former Technology, Media & Telecoms Investment banker at UBS AG and a Technology Analyst at Lehman Brothers International. Ben has principally invested in a number of entrepreneurial ventures including a pioneering telecoms broadband services start-up that was focused on the West African market. He is currently a Non-Executive Director for Dannex Ayrton Starwin Plc.
Ben received a Bachelor’s Degree (Honors) in Electronic/Electrical Engineering from the London South Bank University; and an MBA from Columbia University in New York.
